Three Workouts To Get You Started Becoming More Fit
Do you find exercise borning?
Do you find that you’d rather do anything than get back on that treadmill or go to a fitness class? Chances are you just haven’t found the right activity for you. The fitness industry is an ever-evolving and growing industry. The amazing popularity of Zumba is evidence of that. Humans enjoy learning new activities and mixing it up a bit.
If you’re bored with your fitness program or simply enjoy a bit of variety, check out these fun and interesting workouts.
1. CrossFit – The CrossFit rule of thumb is Constantly Varied, High Intensity, and Functional Movements. If you’re bored then this may be the fitness program for you. No two workouts are alike! You’ll do a heavy back squat one day and hit the rowing machine the next. You’ll jump, climb, swim, and even learn to walk on your hands! It’s also one of the fastest ways to get in the best shape of your life.
2. Kettlebells – If you prefer to work out at home on your own time, consider trying kettlebells. They’re weights with handles. Actually, they resemble a bowling ball with a handle. There are dozens of exercises you can do with a kettlebell and they usually come in weights ranging from 8kg to 16kg (that’s about 18 pounds and 35 pounds respectively). Many kettlebell sets come with an instructional DVD.
They can be a great addition to a walking or jogging program.
3. Aerial arts – If you like the idea of swinging on a trapeze, floating upside down from a fabric sling or performing yoga while suspended in air, then you’ll love aerial arts or aerial yoga. It’s growing in popularity and you will likely be able to find a class in a metropolitan city near you.
There’s no reason to let boredom be your excuse for not exercising. Get out, get moving, and find something fun to do – smile and get in great shape at the same time.
